I am a visual artist and educator dedicated to transformative youth and community development through the arts. As a practicing artist who has worked in schools, museums and arts non profits for the past 10 years, I strive to facilitate spaces where all people can internalize an understanding of themselves and each other as creative, resilient, and meaningful people whether or not they identify as visual artists.
I am currently working as a freelance artist and educator. Previously I have worked as Lead Teaching Artist at Redwood Heights Elementary School in Oakland, California, where I designed and implement curriculum for 375 K-5 students, and collaborated with classroom teachers to facilitate arts-integrated instruction in classrooms. I have also worked as Teaching Artist at Kala Art Institute, The Crucible Industrial Arts Center, Urban Montessori Charter School, the Oakland Museum of California, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and dia:Beacon in New York. I graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Studio Art in 2013, and hold a certificate from the Integrated Learning Specialist Program through the Alameda County Office of Education. I am a member of the Jewish Voice for Peace Artist Council, and have collaborated with JVP and Women’s Earth Alliance to design original illustrations and prints. I have also volunteered at various grassroots organizations in the East Bay to design and facilitate political education curriculum for youth and adults.
Please feel free to contact me with inquiries about purchasing artwork, commissioning original art or illustration work, or part time art facilitation or teaching opportunities.
